How to get the Content Editor Web Part in SharePoint Online

The Content Editor Web Part is missing

If you haven’t moved on to SharePoint Apps yet, the CEWP is essential

One of the first things you’ll notice when you set up your new site is the fact that the CEWP is missing from your list of available Web Parts

Go to the Admin Center

Navigate to https://admin.microsoft.com

As you can see from the light blue callout below, you will need to choose the classic experience, because the new interface doesn’t show it.

Enable Custom Scripts

Navigate to the Custom Scripts section, and enable it

Create a new Team Site Collection

By default, SharePoint Online is going to give you a Developer Site Collection, which does not have the CEWP. When you add a new Web Part Page, you will see that the CEWP is available.
